Our Pacific Beach design is the epitome of spring and summer, no matter the colors. These letterpressed invitations in robin’s egg and peacock show how two hues of the same color can work together beautifully. It keeps the invitations simple and elegant, don’t you think? This couple chose turquoise envelopes for a fun splash of color.Pin It

The flirty skirt with a simple tank tucked in seems to be the easiest, but also the most popular go to of trends this season. It’s cool in the hot summer heat, chic for any occasion and the options for accessorizing it are endless. We came up with four different outfits that cater to whatever style you’re going for that day. Despite the heat, no need to sweat trying to mix it up, we got it covered!
Outfit 1: Whether it’s with the girls or with your someone special, this outfit is the perfect dinner date outfit. The accessories are pretty, simple and neutral so together with the navy and pink it’s the perfect amount of class and sass. SOURCES || Necklace: Bellaire Circle Drop Necklace from Francesca’s | Belt: Sandpoint Stitched Belt from Francesca’s | Bag: Calvin Klein Modena Leather Tote from 6PM | Shoes: Periphery Wedge Sandals from Asos
Outfit 2: Since we already did a dinner date outfit, it is only right to come up with a lunch date outfit as well. Flats are perfect because they are comfortable and cute but they keep the ensemble sharp and not too casual. Pair it with a bright purse and some gold jewelry and you’re good to go! SOURCES || Sunglasses: Ray Ban Aviators | Necklace: Triple Gold Chunky Chain Collar from Bauble Bar | Purse: Snake Embossed Crossbody Clutch from Nordstrom | Shoes: Merona Madge Cap Toe Ballet Flat from Target
Outfit 3: This may be our most casual look but it is still nothing short of fabulous. Perfect for the weekend! Mixing and matching many colors is all the rage this season so don’t be shy to pair a colorful belt, earrings, and bag, especially if you have neutral sandals. SOURCES || Sunglasses: With Love from CA Half Frame Tortoise Sunglasses from PacSun | Earrings: 2 Stone Drop Earrings from Target | Belt: BCBGMAXAZRIA Double Wrap Waist Belt from Lord & Taylor | Purse: Cole Haan Zoe Izzie Clutch from 6PM | Shoes: Steven Madden Cuff Leather Sandals from Lord & Taylor
Outfit 4: So obviously this last look is the office look. It’s important to be excited to go to work everyday and we believe the outfit has a lot to do with it! Keep it professional with a jacket and closed toed shoes. Add a bold statement necklace for a little edge, and don’t forget a roomy tote to stash your files. It’s pretty obvious around here what my favorite color is (green, of course). My least favorite color of all time? Yep, purple. I went through a “purple is my favorite color” phase back in fourth grade (I had a purple Izod shirt that I wore out), but I grew out of it in fifth grade and never looked back. The one shade of purple that doesn’t make me gag? Lavender. We recently letterpressed one of my favorite wedding invitation designs, Chevron, in pale purple and it made my stomach flutter … in a good way.Pin It
A while back I teamed up with some super talented San Diego friends to produce a lovely inspiration shoot. Styled by Adrianne Smith and yours truly, photographed by Jennifer Dery, and first published on Cyd’s blog, The Sweetest Occasion, it was picked up again by Romantic Homes and appeared in their pages earlier this summer.
To see all the pics, check out the original post. Thanks so much to everyone involved in this amazing shoot!Pin It
It was a real surprise to flip through the latest (gorgeous) issue of Stationery Trends and spot my own face! Thank you so much to Julie and Theresa of Sweet Paper for naming me among such a talented group of inspiring women.Pin It
It’s always a treat to see Delphine featured in print. Don’t get me wrong, I loooove blogs, but I’m a PRINT designer, and there’s just something about seeing our work in a magazine that never gets old. This summer I’m thrilled to report that you can spot Delphine in the pages of Exquisite Weddings, Romantic Homes, and Stationery Trends.
SOURCES || 1. Beach Read: Girls in White Dresses by Jennifer Close is hilarious and cute, nothing too deep so your beach day is the epitome of relaxtion.
2. Adorable Summer Straw Hat by J Crew in sunwashed pink.
3. Marc by Marc Jacobs cat-eye sunglasses– a sunnies trend that seems to be so deliciously popular lately. These babies can go from street to beach all the while sporting 100% UV protection.
4. Sick of the typical flip flop look? These Mardis Gras Sandals by Roxy are the right amount of criss-crossingly chic.
5. Stay ec0-friendly with these highly absorbant, fast drying, 100% Turkish cotton towels from Etsy.
6. Everyone has delicate, beautiful, sensitive skin that needs to stay protected from the harsh rays of our dear frenemy, Mr. Sun. Banana Boat Natural Reflect Baby Sunscreen Lotion is wonderful for large areas, while Clarin’s SPF 30 Sun Control Stick is perfect for those hard to get spots on the nose, eyelids and ears.
7. Beach waves are lovely but sometimes you just need to get your hair out of your face. We thought this cute Mixed Print Headwrap from Urban Outfitters would be just the right accessory.
8. Julie Brown Reversible Beach Chairs are not only easy to carry but they are so fab as well.
9. Finally, we couldn’t think of a better, more classic beach bag than the Shoreline Tote by Lilly Pulitzer. So girly, so beachy, so roomy. J’adore!Pin It
Summer is almost over, but I am still loving this fun and preppy Newport Stripes note card and calling card set from our personal stationery collection. Stripes and anchors never go out of season … just bring on the foul weather gear!Pin It
Aquamarines, blues and greens are my very favorite colors, especially when paired with cool gray and whites. Perfect summer color palette! Palette inspired by vintage porch chairs outside Butcher and Bee restaurant in Charleston.

Hello, August. Wait … how is it August already? Back to school?!? Already?!!!? John’s BIG birthday?!? Already?!?? What happened to July? Heck, what happened to June? Wish I could stop the clock and hit re-do on summer. It’s hard to think of anything I like better than a lazy summer day at the beach. Good thing summer stretches into fall here in South Carolina … I plan on packing in as many beach days as possible. I even bought a fresh bottle of sunscreen yesterday.

I couldn’t help but to snap a picture. The pretty combo of the sun faded orange, turquoise and green colors together made me smile.
