Vintage Lace Wedding Invitations Haute off the Press

vintage lace wedding invitation by delphineI’m so pleased to introduce a brand NEW design: Vintage Lace. It was inspired by a stunning piece of heirloom lace that Trish brought in as a photo shoot prop. The lace dates back to the late 1800s! Everyone in the studio just fell in love with the gorgeous lace pattern and all of the designers here at Delphine thought it would make a beautiful wedding invitation. It’s shown here flat printed, but how stunning would it be letterpressed?

Sparkly New Year Color Palette

Giltter New Year Oysters Color PaletteMy favorite things all have to do with the sea: walks on the beach, snorkeling, swimming, uni, tide pools, fish tacos, sand in my toes, waves, sailing, and oysters. I’m not one for resolutions, but I do think I could get on board with more ocean in my life in 2012.

Have a sparkly New Year!

haute off the press: charleston stitch

Haute off the press: our Charleston Stitch party invitation, printed in sand ink. The invitation was originally designed for Martha Stewart Weddings magazine, and is named after my “hometown” of Charleston, South Carolina.

One of the fabulous things about digital/flat printing is the opportunity to flood the background of a design with a solid color, and knock out the text (the white is the paper, not white ink). I really love this soft, neutral, romantic color palette for weddings, and hope it doesn’t fade away as a trend too quickly.

color palette: romantic spring blossoms

The fruit trees in our backyard are blooming. There’s something magical about a pretty blossom on a leafless branch. I love the stark contrast. The colors in this photo may be one of the all time classic color combinations for weddings: soft, romantic blush pinks, with creamy off white, gray, and a pop of brighter pink. The palette of a bouquet of pink and white peonies, or a ballerina.

new delphine ink color: coral

We’ve just added eight new ink colors to the Delphine ink palette on our website! Yay for my favorite of the bunch: CORAL. It looks oh so lovely paired with “classic” Delphine inks: limonade, sand, shitake, and sunny. It’s beachy, romantic, warm and fuzzy. I think it will look chic letterpressed on our lacey Robin design. On which Delphine invitation design do you think our new ink color would look best?

color palette: aubergine dream

The purple/dull metallics and neutrals color palette is one my wedding invitation clients have been loving lately. I like to call it “Aubergine Dream.”
