I’ve had color, color, color on the brain lately. I’m loving everything chromatic these days. Here are some fun ways to introduce a bit of color into your life. I just bought the 2-tone balloons from Brooklyn Bride’s Pop Up Shop to use at an upcoming party. Love them so much, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to wait until the party to blow them up!

I’m in serious denial about it being December already. Lets just leave it at that.
One of the many joys of being back in the South is access to one of my favorite snacks: boiled peanuts. Pair it with a cane sugar Coke and I’m a very happy girl. I snapped this pic at Butcher & Bee the other day because I just loved the traditional color palette: coca cola red, peanut brown, a bit of green: an old school classic color palette that would be a great jumping off point for planning a fall party.
Here in Charleston, rainy days abound. Last week, after 3 straight days of clouds, I had had it. To compensate I busted out my brightest shirt. It helped.

I’ve never had lobster pâté, but Giovanni’s packaging sure makes it tempting to try. This packaging caught my eye with its vintage style script and serif typeface pairing … and certainly its retro color palette with that beautiful powder blue and lobster red.

I picked these Lays dill pickle chips up at the Coming Street corner store the other day. The flavor intrigued me (and I’m happy to report they are delicious). Also noticed that the colors on the package are my favorites … lime greens and yellows. Then I noticed that the colors match my Orla Kiely wallet perfectly. I guess I’m pretty predictable when it comes to favorite color palettes.

Shiver me timbers, this is a crazy snapshot, isn’t it? Just a couple of pirates hanging about the Charleston Harbor. Don’t you love the jewelry the tall pirate is sporting? And the tights? Trés chic. I think the red, leather, black, linen and malachite green palette would be so fun for a kids’ party color palette. A pirate party sounds like just the thing to ease into fall. Bonus: invite the parents and it’s a great excuse to whip up a batch of grog.
BTW, today is Talk Like a Pirate Day. Here is some advanced pirate lingo for those of you who want to know how to talk like a pirate: bung hole – The stopper in food storage barrels is called the bung, and the hole is the bung hole. For realsies.

Summer is almost over, but I am still loving this fun and preppy Newport Stripes note card and calling card set from our personal stationery collection. Stripes and anchors never go out of season … just bring on the foul weather gear!
I love this hand lettered sign from the local laundromat. The turquoise, black, yellow and red color palette is pretty retro cool, too, don’t you think?
While out shopping for supplies for the new house last weekend I saw this cool packaging at the local Lowe’s garden center. I love the retro illustration and typography.

One of my earliest memories is of crafting Valentine’s Day cards with my friend after school. Normally I’m not much of a DIY girl … I have neither the time nor patience for crafts … but for Valentine’s Day I make an exception. I just love getting out all the paper doilies, construction paper, paste and colored pencils to hand craft Valentine’s Day cards for my family.
I am thrilled to let you know the new Delphine for Tiny Prints holiday collection is live! I had a lot of fun designing holiday cards this year. It sounds crazy, but the process started back in March! Some of the holiday photo cards pictured above are my favorites. They all come in several colorways, but for holiday it is hard to get away from traditional red and green themes.

This “Merry Kissmas” holiday photo card is my favorite from the new collection. It’s hard to see in the photo, but it opens up so you can write a nice message inside. Great for those of you who like to write missives ; ) You know who you are!
If traditional red and green aren’t your thing, these “Be Merry” holiday photo cards in modern fun colors should be up your alley. I love diagonal stripes (and chevrons, though none of my chevron designs made the TP cut!).

We’re a little more than a week into July and it’s really starting to feel like summer. We have the luxury of a pool at our place, and I’m taking full advantage this year. I even picked up a pair of floats with drinkholders and attached squirt guns, for some fierce battles.
Mom planted a bunch of succulent cuttings in this pretty Italian wall well we had around the house. Who knows where we pick up all this stuff?!?? Love the color palette: verdant green, spring, rhubarb, stone and flame.
