Happy May Day! The first of May always reminds me of Meugets, or Lily of the Valley. If you were in France (le sigh) you’d see these everywhere, as it’s tradition to hand your lover or friend a small bouquet of these flowers today.
These colors make me happy.
Today is also a day to remember the sacrifice of our returning heroes, more than 30,000 of whom have been wounded–many severely–in recent conflicts. Wounded Warrior Project aids in the recovery process and smooths the transition back to civilian life.
Tomorrow is Veterans Day; it is a time to remember, honor and thank all those who have served our country. Please consider a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.
