March 2012
Happy March, friends. It’s been a crazy week so far. We moved all the way to John’s Island (a couple of minutes outside of Charleston, SC) from Southern California!!! March is a month for new beginnings: rainy days lead to my favorite thing: spring green everywhere. I live across the street from a tidal marsh now, and CANNOT WAIT to see the Lowcountry turn from straw brown to spring green over the next few weeks.
Sidenote: That’s our 2012 calendar in the photo. We’re out of stock now, but after we open all our boxes we may come across a couple more. Shout if you’d like to order one and we’ll set it aside for you.

in the press: martha stewart weddings fall 2010

I am so so so (soooooo) happy (insert squeal) to share that Delphine was featured in the beautiful Fall 2010 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. It should be hitting news stands any minute now, so I can finally share my preview copy with you:

Here’s our page. We created our “Charleston Stitch” wedding invitation for this issue. It was a lot of fun working with the editorial team at the magazine. Kind of like a dream come true. I really love how the letterpress turned out. We also adapted the same design for flat printing, which is really affordable. The design was inspired by hand stitched couture wedding gowns. I think it’s a lovely invitation choice for a modern and chic wedding. I’d love to see it printed in navy and hot pink (like anemones), or in two shades of ocean blue. This design is brand new on the site, so nobody has ordered it just yet. Can’t wait to see what the first order looks like!

new: delphine custom party favors
I’m suuuuper excited to announce that, at long last, after much agonizing over placement of butterflies and foil colors and square vs round “discussions,” Custom Party Favors have launched on our Delphine website!
I think the custom party favor bags … perfect size for a treat like a giant chocolate chip cookie or a donut … is my favorite new product. Probably becuase they hold the promise of a sugary treat.
Cocktail napkins are a lovely way to introduce a pop of color. Little piles of them on tall bar tables is an easy way to add visual interest to an otherwise dull area, don’t you think?
I love getting food treats at weddings … somehow I’m ALWAYS hungry on the drive home (probably has something to do with the excessive cocktail consumption). And I love the cheesy mix cds. What are your favorite party goodies?

haute off the press: sunflora greeting

Haute off the press: our new Sunflora “hello” card. It’s flat printed. Cute, huh? Not shown here, but it opens up and the same pattern is in the corners of the card. I was trying to recall my grandmother Bea’s patio furniture from the late 70s when I designed this. I think her furniture was goldenrod yellow, with a similar pattern.
The card is not up on the site for sale just yet, but let me know if you want to order. Single card: $4; set of 8 cards: $16. Plus shipping.
