Coming soon to stores, our adorable baby giraffe letterpress “many thanks” note card. The cute illustration was done by our favorite illustrator, my mom. It’s part of our new Baby Animals Collection, which will debut next week at the National Stationery Show in New York.

new letterpress collection: baby animals

Haute off the press: our new letterpressed Darling Lion Cubs card from the Baby Animals Collection. We’ll debut this fun collection at the National Stationery Show this May. Everything in this collection is printed in soy-based inks on minimum 30 percent pcw paper (as always).

in the press … boho magazine

Last weekend I picked up a copy of boho magazine and fell in love. I bought a copy and brought it home so I could read every page. As I worked my way through the magazine I spotted our delphine Jellies (jellyfish card from our Marine Life Collection)! How exciting! I remember the editors asking for the photo, but I never heard back from them so I thought the story got cut. What a lovely surprise. I hope your week has some nice surprises in store for you.

We’re honored to have been selected by Akiko Taki to grace the pages of Relaxing Graphics, a gorgeous hardcover book by Pie Books (Japan) featuring the best natural style graphics from around the world. One of our custom wedding invitation designs (it’s similar to our Meeting Street design) was selected, as was our naturalistic (if you can call a green octopus or turquoise jelly fish natural) marine life series of note cards. The book is full of inspiring designs from top notch graphic designers, and is available to pre-order here (the book will be released in September 2009).

mimosa and blue iris

I’m a long time fan of Pantone’s 2008 color of the year: Mimosa. And last year’s color of the year, Blue Iris, is starting to grow on me. I’ve been looking for a tote bag large enough for my laptop (most laptop bags are so ugly! why is that?) and think this mimosa yellow tote from Target might do the trick. I’m also loving the sweet yellow t-shirt from Anthropologie. And I picked up this blue iris cardigan over the weekend to match our upcoming NSS booth … can you guess the color scheme for the new collection???

new from charleston collection: sullivan

“Sullivan,” one of the new designs from our upcoming Charleston Collection, is named after Sullivan’s Island, the “next door island” to where I grew up (Isle of Palms, South Carolina). I chose the deep marine blue ink because it reminds me of summer nights on the island, and the bright crocus ink is a nod to my mom’s favorite color circa 1983!

Know anyone getting hitched on a desert ranch? These cactus invites would set the tone for a fun, yet chic outdoor wedding in Arizona, right? Of course you could substitute any of our delphine motifs for the cactus, or we would be happy to design a little icon just for you.

Here’s a sneak peek at one of our newest designs: Acorns. Of course you can substitute the acorn motif for any one of our little critters or icons, or even a monogram. But I think the acorns are perfect for a sweet & simple woodland affair!

sneak peek: “ava” and “robin” invitations

A work table similar to this polished nickel Dering Console table would look great with the Ghost Chair in B’s jewelry studio. Doesn’t look like we could fit a chair under here, so we’re still searching, but we both love this table from Martha Stewart’s Lily Pond collection at Bernhardt.
