Gold Edge Painted Letterpress Wedding Invitation by DelphineSometimes the simplest ideas are the best. Case in point: this letterpress wedding invitation, typeset in black ink with no motif. Don’t call it plain, though! It has gorgeous (if I do say so myself) shiny gold edge painted sides. Letterpress edge painting is an extra touch that is always worth the extra effort.

Popular Wedding Invitation Design

Delphine Amelie Ava Letterpress Wedding Invitation designOur signature Ava design (a variation of our Amelie) is hands down our most ordered design. Here are three variations of the same design shipping out on the same day. Changing the ink colors totally changes the feeling, doesn’t it? I imagine the left one for a garden party, the center one for a fun bash, and the one on the right for a black tie ball.

Here’s a peek at one of our newest wedding invitation designs, ROSE. It’s not yet live on the site, but you can order it by request. Shown here in jet black, sand and cantaloupe ink. We printed these for Janelle and Scott’s wedding, which was featured today on The Wedding Chicks. J’adore the black and coral color scheme at the wedding, so we used a jet black background on the invitations.

real wedding: westport save the date

Here at Delphine we love it when brides (and grooms) make our designs their own. Altagracia and Casey customized our Westport design to create this western-themed save the date for their upcoming nuptials in Jackson, Wyoming. Using our fun customizer (preview in real time! instant gratification! yahoo!), they chose the Rope and Rose fonts and Chocolate and Blue inks. We digitally printed it, for super fast turnaround. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Can’t wait to see what they order for their invites.

real wedding: megan and casey

One of the best things about my job is getting to know lovely people like Megan and Casey. Last year about this time I was printing invitations for their August wedding. After their Big Day they shared their photos with me, and I’m so happy that their beautiful, beautiful wedding is featured on The Knot here so you all can see it, too. (photos by Thia Konig).

The final mockup (above) of the invites we designed printed for Megan and Casey, and a few pics of the final design (below). I had a great time designing these invites for them (and you can see that one of the motifs eventually turned into our Meeting Street design, which you can read about here and see here on our site).
